MINDstyle x Ron English Abraham Obama Bust

As busts become one of the latest in collectible figures, Ron English’s re-appropriation of newly crowned American president Barack Obama under the influence of Abraham Lincoln will see the light in 3-D form. Originally seen as a series of large posters created as a commentary regarding the glaring similarities in political styles of Obama and Lincoln, the pieces quickly become a much talked about art venture. The busts done by MINDstyle and sculpted by Vin Teng are seen here in three colors, a black version for Toy Tokyo, a green version for Fresh Manila and finally an already sold-out white version for MINDstyle members. Each color and piece is limited to 50 pieces worldwide at a suggested retail price of $200 USD.
