Within 8 months of existence, Shmack had already entered the Japanese market. With a desire to keep itself at the forefront of the creative track, Shmack are continually trying to push the envelope.

Revealing collaborations with artists Mister Cartoon and Frank Frazetta, a Tyler, the Creator photo tee, the highly-anticipated Nike AF1 Mid team-up and even a custom Brooklyn Machine Works bike.
The Japanese punk inspired label Devilock is set to release their latest set of t-shirts utilizing their Palmboy mascot. The t-shirts are available in both black and white with the Palmboy character outlined via red and green stitching. The design is highlighted with a "For XXXX Only" bubble print also. World class snowboard manufacturer Burton will be opening a new four-story flagship store in Chicago on the 19th of September. The store will feature the full Burton family of brands, including HYPEBEAST favorite iDiom. Also, since Burton doesn’t open a new flagship store every month, this month they’ll be releasing two Artist 13 Series shirts (rather than one) with local Chicago artists Cody Hudson of Struggle Inc. and Chuck Anderson of No Pattern. Both t-shirts will be available at the Chicago store and are limited to 100 pieces each. Check out Steven Vogel’s blog for more info and some interior shots of the new store.
In celebration of G-Shock’s 25th Anniversary, Kiks Tyo has released a limited edition watch as part of the G-Flash Pack, a triple name collaboration between Kiks Tyo, G-Shock and New Balance. The watch comes in two colors; Burning Red (red splatter on a black dial and band) and Midnight Darkness (yellow splatter on a black dial and band.) The watch also features a backlit Kiks Tyo skull logo. Packaged in an original Kiks Tyo mini shoe box, only 200 pieces of each colorway are available outside of Japan.
Two new Kiks Tyo t-shirts featuring Japanese model Aki Hoshino have also just launched. The first design features Aki holding a pair of G-Flash New Balance 574’s and wearing a Kiks Tyo x G-Shock branded splatter bikini. The second features Aki wearing a pair of RUN-D.M.C. Superstars from the classic Superstar 35th Anniversary Music Series. Next to Aki is a pair of commemorative edition JMJ Ultrastars, which were released in 2003 to honor RUN-D.M.C.’s DJ and turntable legend Jam Master Jay. After the success of the ‘Chairfix’ that they created for the Stussy store in London some years ago, The Wilson Brothers were asked to work on a new product for Stussy Japan. That product is ‘Hextable,’ an occasional table for the home that is made from two identical components that once popped out of their packaging, fold and lock into place to create an incredibly light, yet strong structure.
The structure is made from recycled cardboard and is fully recyclable. Because of its honeycomb core ‘Hextable’ weighs in at an incredible 1.2kg, making it very sustainable for logistics. The product has an all over repeated Stussy pattern which was hand screened in London. The ‘Hextable’ will be launching this weekend, exclusively to Stussy stores in London and Japan. Priced at £55.
When you first set eyes on Amos Toys’ YOD, don’t be fooled by the inherent visual simplicity of this figure. Deep down lies a more complex storyline. The YOD is the convergence of academic and design theory. The YOD derives its shape based on ancient mathematical formula from the minds of modern day philosophers.
Available in six different colors, each color of the YOD is limited to 200 pieces per color. A special white and black limited edition run of 140 pieces will also go on sale at the Amos online store. Unlike the six colors, the black and white YODs will have different hand gestures. Available starting October 12th.
SITUATIONORMAL has collaborated with Italian label Vanguard to produce this latest series of t-shirts. Earlier this year, Vanguard and SITUATIONORMAL were also at the center of a collaboration. With the recent release of their Idiot Savant Collection, SITUATIONORMAL is set to make a huge splash this Fall. These Vanguard x SITUATIONORMAL t-shirts will be available at Hall of Fame and Union LA.
Some of Keep’s 2007 Fall Collection of footwear has started to hit stores. Their clean designs include some streamline silhouettes which in the grand scheme of things form a complete package. Some of the models seen here include the Tobin, the Guerra and the Ramos. Available now at Boundless NY.
The HYBBA division of Japanese retailer Zozotown recently released a special limited edition down vest created by American outerwear makers Rocky Mountain Feather Bed. Originating out of Jackson, Wyoming, as the name suggests Rocky Mountain Feather Bed began as makers of bed wear such as quilts and blankets before branching out. The purple vest is highlighted by leather yokes. Available now at Zozotown, priced at ¥34,650 JPY (approximately $303 USD).
Medicom Toys has just released a series of 12 inch fully pose-able figures based on the hit manga/anime series Deathnote. The Deathnote is a story regarding a supernatural notebook, in which the name of any person written within the pages will die. The notebook ultimately falls into the hands of an intelligent 17 year old boy by the name of Light Yagami. After a series of multiple deaths, world renowned Detective L is put on the case to crack the serial killer. These figures along with that of Misa Amane (a girl with a huge crush on Light Yagami) are currently available for pre-order at Zozotown with a shipping date slated for later this month. With many points of articulation, virtually any pose humanly possible can be achieved.
