The HYBBA division of Japanese retailer Zozotown recently released a special limited edition down vest created by American outerwear makers Rocky Mountain Feather Bed. Originating out of Jackson, Wyoming, as the name suggests Rocky Mountain Feather Bed began as makers of bed wear such as quilts and blankets before branching out. The purple vest is highlighted by leather yokes. Available now at Zozotown, priced at ¥34,650 JPY (approximately $303 USD).
Medicom Toys has just released a series of 12 inch fully pose-able figures based on the hit manga/anime series Deathnote. The Deathnote is a story regarding a supernatural notebook, in which the name of any person written within the pages will die. The notebook ultimately falls into the hands of an intelligent 17 year old boy by the name of Light Yagami. After a series of multiple deaths, world renowned Detective L is put on the case to crack the serial killer. These figures along with that of Misa Amane (a girl with a huge crush on Light Yagami) are currently available for pre-order at Zozotown with a shipping date slated for later this month. With many points of articulation, virtually any pose humanly possible can be achieved.

Japanese footwear makers, Rhythm has unveiled a sneak peek of their upcoming 2008 Spring/Summer Collection. Seen here are two new upcoming models, the Panini and the Gyro. The Panini is a reinterpretion on a classic silhouette while the Gyro is a retro inspired hiking boot with reflective accents. Although typical boots of the Gyro’s grandeur are typically quite heavy, Rhythm has constructed a lightweight boot for everyday use. If you’re curious about the names, Rhythm has a long list of interesting names for all their models such as Sandwich, Taco, Bagel and Sherbet. The Gyro and the Panini will be available starting February.
