A darkhorse is considered an entity that is relatively mysterious whose abilities and potential to achieve greatness are unknown. Here is a look at Darkhorse’s 2007 Fall Collection. Much of this collection derives its inspirations and themes from a plethora of different sources such as classic hip-hop, rock and political punk. In turn, Darkhorse represents a melding of clean lines and simplicity with the aforementioned themes. The result are designs that exhibit an interesting collective of understated and loud statements. These Fall pieces include some inspirations from some of Darkhorse’s favorite artists, from Prince and Queen to Grace Jones (a collaboration with artist David Flores).

This collection called “Only the Educated are Free” emphasizes the often solitary journey required in hopes of attaining that freedom associated with education. The Staple 2007 Fall/Winter Collection features an extensive division of garments such as outerwear, bottoms, tops, t-shirts, sweatshirts and accessories. Much of the outerwear, bottoms and tops derive their highlights from a high attention to quality and cut with minimal graphics and branding. 3sixteen All-City Crewneck Sweater

Look for this highly refined All-City Crewneck sweater from 3sixteen’s 2nd Fall shipment for 2007 soon. This cut and sew sweater used the classic American varsity jacket as the blueprint to the design. The sweater is marked by script embroidery on the front with applique letters seen on the rear. These 370 gram open ended fleece sweaters are finished with heavy ribbing on the cuff and waist. The last touch, often unseen on crewnecks is the inclusion of a pair of side pockets. This new redefined fit and cut will become the new standard for all 3sixteen crewneck sweaters.

Visvim has just released their catalog for their 2007 Fall/Winter collection which is called “Dissertation on Geographical Relevance in Rational Product Development.” This beautifully put together catalog gives buyers a look at Visvim’s concept of how different geographical locations ties into their products using spectacular photography. The catalogs are now available at F.I.L. stores across Japan. In addition to the catalog, Hiroki Nakamura, Visvim’s director, also gives us a look at some upcoming products from the Visvim line up. He shows us one model, the FBT Nome, coming in two styles. Around the sneaker game circle, many will recognize Methamphibian as one of the most prolific sneaker customizers of his era. Some of his recent projects include collaborations with Essense Japan and DC Shoes. The DC Shoe Artist Project involved Methamphibian traveling across the US and Europe to promote his sneaker. However, throughout the years, Meth has yet exhibit his work on a solo level. His involvement with Mountain Dew Green Label and his Tundra Mountain Dew bottle design marked a perfect occasion to combine his efforts as an exhibition. The show will mark the unveiling of some unique pieces created specifically for the show utilizing light boxes, neon lights and other surprise products. More info can be seen after the jump.
