Mountain Dew Presents: Methamphibian - A Solo Exhibit

Around the sneaker game circle, many will recognize Methamphibian as one of the most prolific sneaker customizers of his era. Some of his recent projects include collaborations with Essense Japan and DC Shoes. The DC Shoe Artist Project involved Methamphibian traveling across the US and Europe to promote his sneaker. However, throughout the years, Meth has yet exhibit his work on a solo level. His involvement with Mountain Dew Green Label and his Tundra Mountain Dew bottle design marked a perfect occasion to combine his efforts as an exhibition. The show will mark the unveiling of some unique pieces created specifically for the show utilizing light boxes, neon lights and other surprise products. More info can be seen after the jump. DEDUE collaborated with Japanese designer Jun Watanabe (not to be confused with Junya Watanabe of Comme des Garçons) to produce a series of all-over print graphic pieces. The collection includes a cushion, a wallet, a messenger bag and a tote bag. DEDUE represents a division of the Japanese retailer Zozotown which specializes in high quality labels. Artist Jun Watanabe’s previous works include collaborations with brands such as Madfoot!. Available starting November.

Nike ACG is the midst of releasing revamping the Wildedge GTX. The Wildedge is a relatively new model, inspired by the vintage classic Wildwood from Nike ACG. What differs from previous Wildedges is the re-designed upper with a screen printed Swoosh as opposed to the customary embroidered Swoosh. This is put together with an XCR (Extended Comfort Range) upper which completes this high-tech package. The sole is that of 0.44 sticky rubber compound seen on various Nike ACG models such as the Soaker. On September 13th, the XLarge section within the P’ARCO department store in Ikebukuro, Japan will relocate from the 3rd floor to the B1 floor.
