Unconditional city love can sometimes help a sneaker sell and for the citizens of New York and Tokyo, New Balance has recently provided another step in showing off your city pride. The red 480’s represent Tokyo, while the khaki 480’s was themed after NYC. No word yet on whether or not there will be a further roster of cities added to the list. Release info says August with these only going to select Tier 0/1 New Balance accounts.

Reebok continues to think outside the box when it comes to dropping packages, and around Halloween they will release four sneakers paying homage to classic horror movie villains. An ERS2000 that represents Jason from Friday The 13th, two Ventilators inspired by Chucky and his bride, and an Alien Stomper (not pictured) that is an ode to Freddy Krueger will be included in the collection. There is no pricing or set release dates for the sneakers, but the toys pictured will not be included. Check back with us for more information.

Japanese magazine Boons’ latest August special edition issue takes a look at one Vans Syndicate’s collaboration with W)taps which include Slip-ons, Chukkas, Eras and Sk8-His. The color scheme this year features a navy blue colorway which will surely have no problem building on the success of last years black W)taps x Vans Syndicate releases.

With David Beckham’s departure from La Liga to the MLS on the heels of his most successful campaign with Real Madrid, the LA Galaxy are set to reveal a brand new kit to bring in arguably MLS’ biggest product ever. The new colors feature collegiate navy, gold and white. The new team logo features a Quasar (center of the universe, produces immense light and energy) which incorporates the Galaxy’s two previous MLS titles.
It’s no doubt that many soccer/football fans in the US are preparing for the imminent arrival of football’s golden boy as characterized by the LA Galaxy’s running countdown or the fact that a quick look at the LA Galaxy webstore lists the top 5 sellers as Beckham kits. Beckham never had trouble selling a shirt and things don’t look to change anytime soon. Look for his introduction at the Home Depot stadium July 13th.
Japanese brand Neighborhood spurred this latest collaboration with Stussy to produce this run of t-shirts featuring the widely recognizable Stussy font alongside a crested NBHD design. Seven colors in total are available with black/black and white/blue being sold at NBHD and the Hoods store. The other five colors going to Stussy stores around Japan. Kids sizes will also be available. The release is slated for July 14th.
