For their first outside collaboration, Nike 6.0 enlisted All American Rejects front man, and co-founder of T. Bourne clothing, Tyson Ritter, to design a Mavrk Mid. The shoe features a black and baby blue colorway detailed with electric green, hot pink and sparkly laces. Ritter describes the shoes as “new wave,†“trashyâ€Â, and “candy pop.â€Â
These Nike 6.0 Mavrk Mids are limited to 1000 pairs worldwide, but if you register on Nike6.com, you’ll be entered in the running for a free pair. The contest is a one-day only deal, with the winner being chosen tonight (Sunday, July 8th.)
Today we have another look at some shoes from the upcoming Vans and Simpsons project, this time by the Emmy award-winning “father of punk comics,†Gary Panter, and LA-based graphic artist and director, Geoff McFetridge. McFetridge chose the Chukka boot as his backdrop for an interesting flower-patterned piece, whereas Panter went with the iconic Era in depicting a Mr. Burns vs. Homer Simpson scenario. Today (7.7.07) marks the release of MAJOR’s latest New Era 59Fifty fitteds. The hats are available in 4 colorways and feature a rich and detailed elephant flocking print reminiscent of prints on original Air Jordan 3s. Finally, MAJOR had been waiting for the right moment to unveil their alternate logo. The stylized M logo represents the athletic side of MAJOR: Team MAJOR. This release also features new rear embroidery: both the Trinity Logo (3 Bars & 3 Stars) and the MAJOR wordmark. You can have a closer look after the jump.
