Arkitip x Original Fake x Incase Laptop Sleeve

Last year, Original Fake opened it’s doors in the Aoyama district of Tokyo. The store was opened by Medicom Toy in partnership with the heralded contemporary artist, KAWS. To mark the first anniversary of the grand opening of the Original Fake store in Aoyama, Los Angeles art magazine Arkitip have collaborated with KAWS on a special Incase custom laptop sleeve which serves a dual role as the packaging for the upcoming special anniversary issue. KAWS’ involvement doesn’t stop there as he takes the reigns as the curator for the artist section of this upcoming issue of Arkitip. The magazine is definitely worth picking up and will be available starting July 15th.

adidas x TNT Recordings "But Please Fuck the System"

adidas and TNT Recordings have paired up to produce two extremely limited packages created by Berlin artists DJ Fetisch and Carsten Fock. The packages include a rare Lottergirls “But Please Fuck the System” Vinyl EP’s alongside matching adidas sweatshirts. Package 1 includes a grey sweatshirt and EP 1 with original remixes while package 2 features a black sweatshirt and EP 2 with original remixes. The original artwork created for the packages will be featured during Berlin’s fashion week. The packages will be available at Firmament starting July 14th and subsequently online July 20th. On the heels of the Supreme x Oakley Frogskin collaboration comes a release of some of the famed 1980’s model sunglasses, the Frogskin. At a time when those who were a part of the 80’s and are now making decisions at Oakley thought there was a need to bring back such an iconic piece of 80’s pop culture. Some of those purchasing these Frogskins are no doubt repeat buyers. Only 3,000 pairs of each model will be produced closing another chapter on the fabled Oakley Frogskin.

Reebok continues to think outside the box when it comes to dropping packages, and around Halloween they will release four sneakers paying homage to classic horror movie villains. An ERS2000 that represents Jason from Friday The 13th, two Ventilators inspired by Chucky and his bride, and an Alien Stomper (not pictured) that is an ode to Freddy Krueger will be included in the collection. With David Beckham’s departure from La Liga to the MLS on the heels of his most successful campaign with Real Madrid, the LA Galaxy are set to reveal a brand new kit to bring in arguably MLS’ biggest product ever. The new colors feature collegiate navy, gold and white. The new team logo features a Quasar (center of the universe, produces immense light and energy) which incorporates the Galaxy’s two previous MLS titles. It’s no doubt that many soccer/football fans in the US are preparing for the imminent arrival of football’s golden boy as characterized by the LA Galaxy’s running countdown or the fact that a quick look at the LA Galaxy webstore lists the top 5 sellers as Beckham kits. Beckham never had trouble selling a shirt and things don’t look to change anytime soon. Look for his introduction at the Home Depot stadium July 13th.
