Thanks to High Snobiety we have an early look at the final shoe in Active’s “Drop Sneakers Not Bombs” project. The outcome is this P-Rod II and Nike Free hybrid or “Free-Rod” model from Nike SB. Though this same black and gold colorway was used for the P-Rod II launch series, it’s still one of the nicer colorways we’ve seen so far. It will be interesting to see how the Free sole technology translates to skateboarding.
All seven Active DSNB collaborations with Lakai, Emerica, Vans, DC, DVS, eS and Nike SB will be available at Active Mailorder as of July 7th, 2007. Visit Drop Sneakers Not Bombs for the countdown.

Last winter rapper Lupe Fiasco and Japanese brand Swagger teamed up to create a collaborative winter collection. This summer they’re at it again to create another collection titled Haru, meaning spring in Japanese. Among the pieces is this limited edition tee available in white and green. The front of the shirt features a chicken wearing a crown with the moniker, Fried chicken Kings. The back cartoon print features designers Big-O and Iggy of Swagger alongside Lupe chasing a chicken. The chicken ties into Lupe’s inside joke of how chicken wings are soul food in America, and popular appetizer in Japan. These shirts will only be available at St. Alfred’s in Lupe’s hometown of Chicago.
A few months ago, Levi’s laid down the law in regards to what they perceived as copyright infringement on the part of various denim manufacturers in Japan. As a result many of these companies were forced to change up some of their designs. Amongst the companies first to change were Flathead and their creation of the F380 to reflect these infringements. These straight leg medium/low rise jeans feature Flatheads famous 3XXXX denim which has gained notoriety for its awesome fades. Other characteristics include 14.5 oz weight, hidden rivets and a button fly. Only a few pairs are left at Self Edge so be quick.
