Staple Design 10th Anniversary: 3rd Release Part 2
Jeff Staple has just released some more pictures hot on the heels of yesterday’s post regarding the Staple Design 10th Anniversary: 3rd Release. These upcoming tee’s which use the anagram theme feature the likes of WK (Trace/React), Haze (Backward, Drawback), KR (Hated/Death), Cody Hudson (Teachers/Cheaters), Jose Parla (Unite/Untie), David Ellis (Hustling/Sunlight). The use of anagrams is an interesting themes which leads to some true creativity when finding a way to relate two different words made up of the same letters.

The upcoming Fall/Winter collection from Original Fake will see the release of these interesting Tarot Cards. For those unfamiliar, tarot cards has historically been used for divination purposes to foretell the future. This will be available at all Original Fake dealers.

A few days ago we covered the brand new relocation of Union just a few doors down from their previous store. May 27th through June 10th will see the running of one of the greatest tennis events of all time in the French Open @ Roland Garros. This will also mark a chance for Swiss fans and fans of Roger Federer alike to see the world’s #1 ranked player hit the clay court and continue his form from his first Grand Slam victory at the Australian Open as he attempts to win four Grand Slams in a calendar year. Swiss based +41 and Lowrider have teamed up to produce this special “We Love Roger” tee shirt to voice their support. These shirts will be available exclusively at +41 and Lowrider.
Active x Vans “Drop Sneakers Not Bombs†Half Cab
Skate company Emerica, alongside apparel brand Altamont and retailer Active have teamed up to release some special edition sneakers available under their upcoming “Drop Sneakers Not Bombs” campaign. The sneaker shown was designed exclusively by skater Andrew Reynolds and will drop July 7th only at Active Stores and ActiveMailOrder.com.
The Nike Air Zoom Dunkesto is a hybrid shoe which combines the shape and style of the Nike Dunk and the flexibility of the Presto. Here is the latest Dunkesto which is done in a beautiful colorway. The hot pink on the soles combined with the grey to white gradient on the upper provides a nice sporty effect. They are now available at Overkill.

The Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation will be hosting a charity auction event starting May 26th called “Love is Big, Love is Be@rbick”. For this event, Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation has worked with Medicom Toy and ten hi end fashion labels including Cartier, Chanel, Coach, Hogan, Hermes, Missoni, Moschino, Paul Smith, Salvatore Ferragamo and Tod’s to create a series of 1000% Be@rbricks that will be auctioned off at Bonhams Asia Auction House from May 26 till the 28th. The proceeds will be used for research in leukemia and the Be@rbricks will be on display at Harbor City, Hong Kong from May 29th to June 3rd. More pictures after the jump.

Check out this artwork by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami who is regarded as the Andy Warhol of Japan. His previous works include the Louis Vuitton purse collection which became the most bootlegged purses in history. The art seen here is a project which Murakami is heading for Kanye West’s upcoming release Graduation. Murakami will be art directing the whole album which is scheduled to drop late summer.
The boutique Union first opened in NYC back in 1989 when the term “streetwear” didn’t exist. It was one of the first shops of its kind that catered to what we call “streetwear”. Since then, Union has expanded to another shop in LA and soon they will be opening their third shop once again in NYC. For the opening, there will be several tees produced by various brands including Stussy, Neighborhood, W)Taps, Undefeated, 10 Deep and Accupulco Gold. The one you see here will be the one created by the artist KAWS.
The new shop will be opened this Friday, May 18th at 176 Spring St.

Over at the online shop of Hong Kong’s East Touch Magazine, readers are given the chance to purchase products both new and vintage placed by employees within the company. The latest items in the shop includes new items from the X-Laugh toy collaboration. This collection includes a toy figure named X-Laugh, a matching t-shirt, and trucker cap which comes in different colors representing different releases. The white version of the toy which will be released on May 20th, 2007 for $599 HKD will be only made available for fans in Hong Kong and China. Along with the toy, the t-shirt ($599 HKD) and trucker cap ($549) will be released on the same day priced. There will be an additional figure done in all black that will be made available for people in the US and Japan. The black t-shirt and trucker cap set is available at the East Touch Magazine online store. Adding more excitement to this project comes two more collaborations which includes an orange/white version of the figure with the label Maharishi and an all blue version with the boutique Colette. All the figures and specialty products will be released in limited quantity, so be sure to act quick on these wonderful items.
