One of the upcoming Vans Vault Series releases will see a pair of slip-on’s and a SK8 High featuring the art work of Robert Williams. Robert Williams began as a part of the innovative and groundbreaking Zap Collective alongside underground cartoonist revolutionaries like Robert Crumb. His art featured a mix of Californian hot rod culture, film noir as well as apocalypticism to produce a series of never before seen psychedelic imagery.
He currently is the editor of Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine, and was responsible for the banned cover art for the Gun’s N’ Roses album bearing the same name due to it’s graphic depiction of robot on human rape.
