Mr. Cartoon’s beginnings as a graffiti artist was somewhat of a natural progression to the tatoo scene and his styles and influences through hip hop have also yielded various other forms of art and graphic design. The spring 2007 line from Vans Syndicate follows a Southern Cali theme that follows the relationship of Latino’s and skateboarding as well as the experimentation and use of new and interesting materials. This particular Sk8-Hi features industrial strength canvas representing both the black and blue portions of the sneaker alongside embroidered designs from Mr. Cartoon himself.
