Good Friday last week marked the release of Kobe Bryant’s Air Zoom Kobe II, his second signature shoe from Nike. This event started off with party consisting of silent auctions, live DJ’s, and some food and drink at The Point in Hollywood. At the strike of midnight, the first Air Zoom Kobe II’s went on sale which was followed by a 24 hour basketball game benefiting Kobe’s Vivo Foundation charity. The theme of the night was 24, as the 24 pairs of shoes were destined to be autographed by Kobe, 24 hours to raise money, and 24 chances to play on the court with Kobe. Look for AZKII’s to drop at your local retailer!

Bape’s 14th Anniversary will be marked by a release of exclusive Bape Roadsta’s for each Bathing Ape Shop worldwide. The Black/Black colorway was created for the Bapexclusive store in Aoyoma. Some notable Roadsta’s include the Green/Yellow/Blue Hong Kong version, Black/Red/Blue London Roadsta, and the Black/Purple/White NYC Roadsta.

We Sold Out has received the latest Spring/Summer 2007 line from Futura Laboratories. These made in Japan pieces reek of quality, and possess highly detailed prints. Although no trademark appearance by the Pointman, there’s a liberal use of Futura’s signature Helix logo. The upcoming trend for 2007 may in fact be the rising popularity in pocket tee’s, as we’ve seen many different designers go this route.
