Good Friday last week marked the release of Kobe Bryant’s Air Zoom Kobe II, his second signature shoe from Nike. This event started off with party consisting of silent auctions, live DJ’s, and some food and drink at The Point in Hollywood. At the strike of midnight, the first Air Zoom Kobe II’s went on sale which was followed by a 24 hour basketball game benefiting Kobe’s Vivo Foundation charity. The theme of the night was 24, as the 24 pairs of shoes were destined to be autographed by Kobe, 24 hours to raise money, and 24 chances to play on the court with Kobe. Bape’s 14th Anniversary will be marked by a release of exclusive Bape Roadsta’s for each Bathing Ape Shop worldwide. The Black/Black colorway was created for the Bapexclusive store in Aoyoma. Some notable Roadsta’s include the Green/Yellow/Blue Hong Kong version, Black/Red/Blue London Roadsta, and the Black/Purple/White NYC Roadsta.
