Futura Laboratories Spring/Summer 2007

Futura Laboratories Spring/Summer 2007

We Sold Out has received the latest Spring/Summer 2007 line from Futura Laboratories. These made in Japan pieces reek of quality, and possess highly detailed prints. Although no trademark appearance by the Pointman, there’s a liberal use of Futura’s signature Helix logo. The upcoming trend for 2007 may in fact be the rising popularity in pocket tee’s, as we’ve seen many different designers go this route.

Nike Footscape Woven Free

Nike Footscape Woven Free

The Hybrids from Nike are still rolling out a frantic pace. This latest sneaker takes the Footscape Woven upper and superimposes it on the Free 5.0 V1 sole. With all these recent Free and 360 bottoms being used, we wonder if Nike have plans to use other types bottoms (specifically those dealing with gait and motion control) with various uppers. Perhaps they can find a strong audience with runners from the early and mid 90’s who ran in OG Air Max’s and are looking for more then just a neutral/training shoe. image: Random Ramblings

Nike Court Force High Sakura Ueno

Nike Court Force High Sakura Ueno

This upcoming Court Force High designed by the same mind who created the Sakura Ueno Air Force 1 back in 2005 is a tribulation to a variety of different events and symbols in this upcoming month of April. This month signifies the Festival of Cherry Blossom’s, which takes place in the Ueno area of Tokyo. Incidentally, Ueno also has a strong affiliation with sneaker culture as Mita among various other sneaker spots call Ueno home. The shoe itself, is highly detailed. The upper is a reflective black 3M coupled with a translucent pink sole. There is extensive lasering along the tongue featuring Cherry Blossom’s. Rounding off the features are star-shaped cuts along the collar to reveal a gold pattern underneath (much like the tearaway feature seen in McFetridge Vandals etc), the same Ueno embroidered logo as seen on the AF1’s and gold lace locks. For those proficient in Japanese, Mita has an interview with the designer, Sneaker Wolf. Image: Freshness
