Asics are set to release these Pagoda Project Pro Court Highs at the end of the month. “Pagado Project” is a Japanese term that refers to something that is expressed precisely. Looking at the simplicity of the suede and patent leather matched with the contrasting stitching, it’s reasonable to say that this goal has been achieved.
BBC’s Japanorama takes a look at some of Japan’s most famous and popular artists. Some very interesting facts are divulged, such as Keiichi Tanaami’s album art of a Jefferson’s Airplane record and Takashi Murakami’s Louis Vuitton purse collaboration that went on to become the most copied hand bag in history. Season 3 of the BBC’s series Japanorama recently began. The series puts various aspects of Japanese Culture under the microscope to get an understanding of it’s workings. This one segment deals with the Japanese Toy industry and how it has become one of the dominant forces within the entire world. Included within this segment are features with Bounty Hunter, Hiddy from Secret Base, and the whole Medicom Bearbrick movement.
On April 15th, ACU in Shanghai will release the CLOT Dunkesto and Footscape Woven. Unlike the worldwide release of these two sneakers, these will feature exclusive ACU commissioned wooden boxes bearing lasered ACU markings. They will be available at ACU in Shanghai on April 15th.
Here’s a look at samples of the upcoming Jordan VIII Retro’s in a White/Stealth-Orange colorway. These should release in the latter half of the year during the Holiday portion of the calendar. Although these are a retro + colorway, I can’t see too many people upset with this colorway due to it’s simplicity.
