DC has just teamed up with Streetwear label Situationormal to complete a Double Label Project. This project includes two colorways of DC’s limited edition shoes where one of them is inspired by broccoli and beef and the other macaroni and cheese. Some of the features on these shoes include: high-top construction, water-resistant leather, lightweight mesh tongue panel, patent-pending DGT rubber bottom for enhanced durability, and soft non-woven fabric lining. Check out both of these colorways Espresso/Black and Brown/Black that are hitting stores now.
You can find more information on this project here.
As we reported before Japanese Chain store MUJI is opening their first flagship store in New York and they have announced that they will be located in the New York Times Building taking up about 5,000 square feet of retail space. If you haven’t been to a MUJI store before, they sell simple goods that are essential elements of living including stationary, household goods, furniture, clothing, and accessories. Their main focus is quality and simplicity and this is definitely a great move on the part of MUJI to station a store in New York, so look for this location to open for holiday season 2007.

Scott Campbell was commissioned by Nike to design the uniforms for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. As part of this project, Campbell also designed a patriotic emblem for the US team which gave the Olympic Committee and Nike an idea. The Committee and Nike will pay any brave soul to have this emblem tattooed on them as a big back piece. The only stipulation is you have to be in fairly good shape (male or female). After the work is done, the recipient of this art piece will be photographed for the 2008 Olympics campaign. So just think it through if you’re already considering it. Remember it’s going to be a big back piece, so just brace yourself for the long hours and the pain from the needle. So if you’re serious contact in info@mama-tried.net, 212-920-4097.
