Among New Balance’s 576 special releases is this CM576 PR. The 576 favorite includes an embroidered upper which allows you to match your cool tribal tattoos to the upper. Other highlights include a purple felt lining, lacelocks and 3M highlights. Available in February of 2008.

Although Michael Lau’s annual CSBOOTH 14 exhibition ended a few weeks ago, Lau has continued his relationship with Maharishi to create some new colorways of some of the products originally released at CSBOOTH 14. Pictured here are the DJ Panda and Off World Creature versions. A release date is yet to be set.

Vans recently kicked off the Dragon Chasers Exhibition at Leftfoot Gallery in Taipei. The exhibition was a mixture of art and some of Vans’ most important releases in recent memory. The theme of the show is based around the Asian cultural concept of “Dragon Chasers”. The metaphor of dragon chasing signifies the Asian attitude of attempting to exceed their limits, chasing something that is impossible. The art was created by Singaporean artist Jahan. The exhibition concludes on January 1st, 2008.

Hong Kong lifestyle company CLOT were one of the Asian brands chosen to be involved in Medicom Toy’s Bearbrick x Levi’s Artist Series. Their take on project was based on Edison Chen’s favorite fruits, watermelon and strawberries. Two Bearbrick designs were coupled with two matching t-shirt designs. The women set features the strawberry theme while the watermelon set is for guys. The shirts are packaged in special recycled envelopes as a more environmentally friendly approach based on Edison Chen’s previous experiences in Canada and the US. The t-shirt set (tee & 100% Bearbrick) is priced at $480 HKD (approximately $61 USD) while the 400% Bearbrick on it’s own is priced at $530 HKD (approximately $67 USD). Available now at Juice.
In the small English town of Street, Somerset, Clarks got their start as a small footwear maker destined to become a leading casual footwear manufacturer. Their success is deeply rooted in their goals of creating comfortable and quality footwear. In 1965, the development of their moc style shoe, the Wallabee alongside the Desert Boot went on to become timeless Clarks’ classics. Seen here are two styles of the Wallabee, each employing different materials such as nylon and leather. The leather pair includes a gator like toebox as an update to the traditional smooth leather fare. Check your local Clarks dealer for availability.
The Undercover Shade Lamp designed by PAM’s Misha took two years in the making. The lamp comes in two colors, white death and black death and will site 46cm tall. The light will be priced at approximately 85,000 Yen and will be available at Undercover stores, Modernica Tokyo, Modernica Nagoya, Mid Century Modern and Case Study Shop.

Crooks & Castles recently opened up their first flagship store last week. Named after the stores address, the store will house exclusive 8021 Collection pieces. This weekend will see the release of Tera Squad, Gorgon 1, The Ruling Elite, High Society and Celtic C’s t-shirts on December 22nd.
The Air Jordan I as part of the new Levi’s x Jordan Brand 23 | 501 Collection has been revealed. The sneaker which is at the crossroads of a monumental collaboration between two of America’s popular brands. The upper is comprised of printed denim with classic Jordan print with smooth red leather all-around.

The Visvim 2007 Christmas Pack is set to release shortly. The whole collection includes models such as the FBT, Kiefer Hi, Decoy Duck and Gridwood boots. No gripes about the black colorways which is a far cry from some recent Visvim releases.

Art director So-Me of Ed Banger Records collaborated with +41 to produce Justice which will debut at a series of concerts in Switzerland including Club Q (Zürich) on December 20th and D! club (Lausanne) on December 21st. A +41 video projection can be seen on both nights. The tee is for sale now through +41.
When the Nike Dunk first released in 2008, the impact it had on the sporting world and culture itself were unprecedented. When NCAA teams such as St. John’s, NC State, Michigan, Kentucky, UNLV, Syracuse, Arizona and Iowa first laced up their Dunks, a sense of authenticity and school pride among athletic performance were pinnacles. Soon after, skaters would adopt the Dunk for its good performance. The ability to transcend different cultures from the anti-establishment to team sports, was a testament to the Dunk’s wide appeal.
23 years after its inception, it’s undeniable the myriad of colors the Dunk has experienced. To keep things simple, Nike brought back a series of classic and original colors based inspiration from a Be True To Your School poster. They re-mastered the eight original Dunk colorways and incorporated a vintage treatment such as broken-in leather, ollie scars, weathered foam and stained laces. Other products will also be releasing as part of the collegiate theme with colorways from different NCAA entities. Available starting January.
