Kaikai Kai was founded by Japanese pop artist Takashi Murakami (designer of Kanye West’s recent Graduation album cover) to produce and promote artwork. Towards the late 70s, British leather company Lewis Leathers become an iconic piece among the eras rock groups. People such as Sid Vicious (soon to be Sex Pistols bass player) as well as Paul Simonon and Joe Strummer of The Clash institutionalized the unofficial uniform of rock with their leather jackets. The Lightning was the model of choice for Strummer and as a result Lewis Leathers has teamed up with Japanese rock influenced label Hysteric Glamour to recreate the jacket. Available now at Zozotown’s Hysteric Glamour. Priced at ¥155,400 (approximately $1,333 USD).

Their Native American inspired motifs have made their way into this latest collection of products with Japanese store/label Atmos and accessories makers Porter. The Lacoste Stealth Series is set to release a series of Revan models as part of their 2007 Fall Collection. The Revan model itself features the use of premium materials in its construction. The collection includes the Revan 3 Sheepskin (available in a Hi & Lo), a Revan 3 Croc and the Revan 2 SW. The Sheepskin Revan utilizes the familiar blanket stitching. The inner is updated with a sheepskin lining for warmth during the upcoming colder months. Lacoste has taken a streamlined approach on the Revan 3 Crocs with a laser etched all-over crocodile print. Rounding out the releases are the Revan 2 SW. The more open toebox is mixed with tumbled and punched leathers as well as suede accents. Check your local Lacoste Stealth dealer for availability.

Know for his critical and satirical view of American culture, artist and illustrator Robert Crumb is the latest to team up with Supreme. From his beginnings in 1968 with his self-published Zap Comix, Crumb rapidly became well known in the underground comic scene. Crumb’s work features many references found in cartoon styles common in the 20th century. Having said that, much of his style can be themed after satire as well as sexual and political material. This collaboration with Supreme features two t-shirts and a zip-up hoodie utilizing art work done by Robert Crumb. Available start mid-October at Supreme stores.
