Silas began in 1998 and created products themed after traditional English styling in an updated street form. Within two years, Silas had already created a Japanese presence with a store front in Tokyo and now also boast a second Tokyo Harajuku front as well. Their 2007 Fall Collection touches on a bit of everything from t-shirts, button-ups, crewnecks and a trench coat. In recent times, Silas has concentrated mainly on the Japanese market making their products difficult to acquire outside of Asia. Available now through Dedue.
The latest cross-branding of haute couture fashion and mobile cellphones is Italian label Giorgio Armani teaming up with Korean electronics giant Samsung to create a product set to debut in November. From a technological viewpoint, aesthetics are reinforced by a 3 MP camera, 2.6” LCD display, GPRS/EDGE Tri-Band (900/1800/1900) as well as various multimedia features. Other associated products will also include a line of televisions. This project follows on the heels of previous collabo mobile phones such as D&G x Motorola and Prada x LG.
Japanese punk-inspired label Devilock has just dropped some of it’s 2007 Fall Collection. Known for their trademark dark styling and the use of the Palm Boy mascot, both are featured prominently in these designs. The collection features t-shirts, hoodies and a set of collaborative Art of Inspiration x Devilock Skull studs. Available now at Eproze.
Sony Bravia has just featured their latest commercial. Always at the forefront of innovative branding and advertisements, this latest commercial has left off where it started with the inaugural Bravia advertisment which featured 250,000 bouncy balls flying through the streets of San Francisco. Flight Club is the popular sneaker consignment store which first opened in New York and recently expanded to LA.
