Nike will be presenting Nike Festival Of Air at Nike Town London. This event will feature the history and legacy Nike has been able to develop over the past 30 years. The event dates are as follows August 25th – September 28th 2006.

The Materials of the World series from Adidas is now out and available in stores. The first two “Materials” used are from China and Japan. The Chinese material is the traditional Chinese silk where dragons and clouds are embroidered onto it. Adidas has used this silk material and applied it onto the Adidas Dragon sneaker model. The Adidas Dragon will come in black and white.
Then there’s the traditional Japanese silk material called “Yuzen” with it’s beautiful artwork from the Kabuki play “Kanjincho”. The play depicts the adventures of one of the greatest samurais Yoshitsune.

Here’s one big collaboration between New Balance of Japan and three well known names in this industry: Stussy, Real Mad Hectic and Undefeated. Three colorful pairs of the New Balance MT580s will be available in this pack codenamed “Triple Threat”. In addition to the wild colorway, these MT580s will have a very nice speckled midsole. Two of the biggest Japanese streetwear brands, Bounty Hunter and Neighborhood, will be simultaneously re-opening their stores in Osaka on September 2nd. For this event, each brand will do a tee telling the other brand to “fuck off”. It is quite an interesting collaboration between the two famous Japanese streetwear labels.

Ben Drury, the London based designer, will be holding his first ever exhibition at Beneath on August 24th, 2006. The exhibition will start on August 24th and run until September 16th and will feature works entitled “Trust me London”.
Ben Drury is a freelance designer living and working in London. He was art director of the infamous Mowax recordings, as well as working extensively in the music industry. He maintains long-term creative collaborations with James Lavelle (Mowax/Surrender) & William Bankhead (Mowax/Answer). He worked closely with legendary artist Futura 2000 designing the artist’s monograph – “Futura”, published in 2000.
