“the people who frequent Flight Club are sneaker freaks, mostly men who are addicted to buying limited-edition vintage athletic footwear. They speak in highly technical language, tossing around terms like “tongue graphic” and “toe boxes” with the gravity of men discussing tractor engines or team sports.”
You can read the article in it’s entirety online at The New York Times

Skate girls now have an alternative when it comes to skate fashion. Veering away from the boyish look presented today in female skate clothing, Olive Skateboards recently debuted their new line for the ladies called, Olive Oil. Lacy Barry, a Calgary-based clothing designer is responsible for designing most of the clothes and some of the board graphics for Olive Oil. The pieces, which include hoodies, sweaters, dresses and skirts dawn warm and subtle colors of creams, beiges, warm greys, purple, and pink. The clothes are tailored for the female skater’s need for quick movements on a board, but also are stitched and designed perfectly for casual wear as well.
