NPR just released a very interesting article called ‘Archives Help Businesses Learn from Mistakes’ that talks about Nike’s Sneaker Archive. In the rare archive photo above we get a peek at a few of the 143 pairs that Nike bought off a Japanese collector yesterday.
Nike’s goal is to collect at least one of every item Nike has produced. There are still about 50 models missing. Romaine hopes folks will check their closet floors for old sneakers that might have stories to share with today’s Nike designers.
Nike is asking the public to contact them if they have any of the models on their wish list! If you help them out let us know.
The article also gives us a look at Nike’s shoe from the original Batman movie…Al Cabino: a new petition perhaps?
Thanks to Freshness for the heads up.
