Asylum

Founded in 1999, Asylum is a well recognized and critically acclaimed creative studio that was acquired by Duffy during their Asian expansion. The multidisciplinary creative company regained its independence in 2005 and as part of its rejuvenation, started a workshop and retail store above its design studio at 22 Ann Siang Road.

Situated in the heart of Singapore’s creative agency hub, Ann Siang Road, the Asylum Store has been established to re-ignite creative passions and act as a source of inspiration for designers, artists and the public at large.

Asylum showcases an eclectic mix of products that is divided into four main categories: Experimental music from small recording labels, Books and magazines on culture, fashion, design and architecture, Fashion products such as limited edition sneakers, bags and toys and Contemporary art by international and local artists. An Asylum line of merchandise is also currently in production.

“People living in Singapore tend to look inwards for inspiration because of the lack of an exciting visual landscape. Traveling is the best food for our creative mind but it’s not that accessible so we hope that our store can create a similar experience of discovery and delight,” said Chris Lee, Creative Director, The Asylum.

Asylum is more than just a retail space, it is a platform where designers can come together, exchange ideas and be inspired. The Asylum Store will also play host to a series of free talks, discussions and hands-on workshops with local and international creative luminaries in the fields of art, music and design.

New Nike Samples Pictures

New Nike Samples Pictures

New pictures of (almost) completely new nike retro shoes have surfaced. First is the Japanese make up of the Air Force 1. Pretty dope usage of materials (especially the horse hair on the back panel), but the front is not my cup of tee. Second and third comes the Delta Force in more subtle colorways. All black suede with gum midsole and navy blue laces – they remind me upcoming Black Pack from the SB series. The next Delta Force is light brown with a nice twist of green on the outsole and inner lining (Lucky Dunk anyone?). Click on thumbs to enlarge! Pictures from 5th dimension thread by BEATMAGIC.
