Here is the adidas APS Oki-ni. According to Crooked Tongues, this crazy colorway is inspired by the “Italian designer Ettore SottsassA’s Memphis furniture creations from the 1980s. The furniture attempted to echo classic design from previous decades in an attempt to combat what they saw as the mediocre design aesthetics of the 1970s. The construction of the furniture utilised a lot of Formica-like laminates often featuring prints such as the A`BacterioA’ pattern which is similar to that found on the APS midsole.” Check out more pictures at Crooked Tongues.
Those inquisitive Canadians over at Inquiring Mind have hooked up a great interview with another top-notch NYC brand: UXA. “UXA stands for the United X States of America, the variable X is anything that we choose it to be, constantly changing, evolving…” Great interview, and killer photos as well! Here are the brand new Nike women’s premium Air Force One. As Kicks Hawaii describes it, “the colorway on this one is eighty times sicker: brown premium leather outer with pink plaid toebox and side panels and pink premium leather lining and insole.”
