I can’t wait for these to come out if they ever do come out! They are the Nike Air Force 1 “Sakura”. “Sakura” is the cherry blossom tree which is nicely lasered onto the shoe. This particular “UENO” version is a sample for the shoe store Mita Sneakers in Japan. “UENO” is a place in Tokyo where many of the sneaker shops are located. edit: Apparently these were released in Japan yesterday rumored to be limited to only 500 pairs. edit: More pictures at Alternative Sneakers. Customized sneakers is another form of artistic output where the artist uses the shoe as a blank canvas. ST0404, a Singapore based artist, is one of those artists. ST0404 has been customizing for quite some time and this time he works with Frontallabs KNDG to create this brand new collaboration called “Statement”. The Nike Dunk used has been carefully re-designed and you can see the details such as the crocodile style skin on the side and the pink textured swoosh. Overall, another great custom by ST0404 and hopefully we’ll see more of these in the future.
