Nah but I used to. My father was a real alcoholic, living in a garage with 4 kids and our mom. Fucked up part was that his whole family lost hope in him and my uncles and aunts would tell my mom he was bound to die soon from alcoholism.
He starting going to AA and fast forward a couple years he managed to get us a nice big house and almost anything we can ask for, now being sober for 8-11 years. (Forgot how long exactly.)
Really one of my greatest hero, I look at his progression as inspiration whenever I need it.
It's nice to hear that he turned it all around my dude. I've been trying to read up on AA and other programs that are offered. My father drinks heavily. He's the type of guy that wakes up at 8am and starts to drink right then and there. He works from home which enables him to drink even more. The only issue is I'm never home (away at school) and I really never see, so it's difficult to keep an eye on him, you know.
