So we're over halfway through 2013, and I just wanted to get a feel for how you guys feel about the year music wise.
I guess for me the albums I've enjoyed most (not in any order):
-Random Access Memories - Daft Punk
-WMWTSO - Mac Miller, he really surprised me with it, he's come a long way from his  early mixtapes or even blue slide park
-Yeezus - I always have thought Kanye was a little overhyped at times but still it was a really solid album
-Indicud - people really don't like the direction Cudi is going with his new stuff, but I do, and i appreciate it that he produces now
-I Love You - The Neighbourhood, awesome band, this was their debut studio album, i enjoyed it
-Avalanche - Quadron
-Anything In Return - Toro y Moi, dude rarely disappoints
-Acid Rap - Chance The Rapper
-Wolf - Im a big Tyler fan, no dickride though. I thought it was pretty good, but still nothing has come close to Bastard for me
-A Love Surreal - Bilal

I was kind of disappointed by:
-Magna Carta...Holy Grail - there were some cool beats on the album, but that's to be expected with the kind of access Jay-z has. Idk, it just feels like he dumbed down his flow and ran out of things to say. Like on every song he's rapping about people giving him respect, which he already has. It just felt like any other mediocre to decent hip hop album
-20/20 Experience - I really like a few songs, but I just cant fuck with every song being like 7 minutes. it was decent, but i feel like my expectations were too big, allowing me to be disappointed.

Shit im looking forward to:
-Doris - Earl Sweatshirt. I think he has the chance to really make a name for himself. so much of his prior work has been overshadowed by the whole odd future aesthetic, but judging by the features and production that has been confirmed so far, he is going to be able to break that
-New BadBadNotGood Album - Theyve been tweeting how the album is pretty much finished, and that we should expect it soon, so Im excited
-Possible Eminem solo album - I don't think he'll ever go back to being slim shady, but even so, the idea of a new solo project still gets me excited, and im sure anyone will agree. i just hope it's not another recovery.
-new Nas, new Flying Lotus, and the 2nd 20/20 experience are all rumors too

I feel like I'm missing something. But yeah, those are my thoughts so far on 2013. What do you guys think? And discuss  what you think about the year, not just my list there's probably some dope projects I haven't heard yet. But yeah, 2013 is good

EDIT: I can't deny I'm stoked for this new Ariana Grande album, no sus

WMWTSO, Yeezus, Indicud, The Gifted, Born Sinner, Owl Pharaoh, RawHyde.

Acid Rap was pretty good but the hype Chance got on that was ridiculous.

I'm looking forward to the new Deltron, Get Home Safely, Oxymoron, HOF, another KRIT album if he puts it out before the end of the year.

Listened to Indicud for a week and never listened to it again but it was good,

Yeezus is a banger but a farcry from some genius masterpiece that all the cacs gassed up,

Magna Carta was/is fucking garbage aside from 2-3 songs,

Whack Miller's album actually wasn't too bad,

Born Sinner was lackluster boring shit I listened to once and never listened to again.

Action Bronson's little EP with Harry Fraud was ok and his album with the Alchemist (Rare Chandaliers) was ok.

Favorite album(s) were Yeezus, 360 Waves and Albert Einstein. Alchemist should get producer of the year.

his voice is really hard to get used to. but once you get past that, it's very enjoyable to me. he is unorthodox and creative. and the production is awesome. jazzy drums and chords, soulful vibes

Thing is, I got used to his voice and listened again and I think the reason I don't like it is because the songs just seem... not there if that makes sense. Like they're soooo close to being good but not quite there
