There is no such thing as Raw 511's or 514's

@freshy

1. 511's if you are in the United States can be copped in Macy's, JC Penney, Kohls, any department store.
2. I do not know, haven't had a pair.
3. The only raw 501's are the LVC, you have to check the back pocket tag to see if they are STF.

Are you talking about the non-LVC, where they sell in department stores?
Did not know that they were RAW, you sure?

Thanks. What size should I cop the 501 STF's to make them feel like 514's or 511's BUT keep the rawness in 'em without fades after the first wash?

crash its kinda hard to get a fit like 514s or 511s with 501s cuz from knee down they r same size as 514s but they have bigger thighs. But you could go true or up one and have them stretch back out after the first soak. Ur gonna have to sacrifice a bit of the stiffness cuz otherwise you wont have the true feel of the jeans w/o the initial soak to shrink them. Theres not much you can do about the fading other than not wearing them, cuz any abrasion will cause them to start fading.

Chao dude ur post is totally useless, all I ever see u do is hate like a scrub

That's why people here ask questions, for some knowledge! smile
Although I could've asked in the "Small Denim Questions Thread" I felt as if I'd be able to get more info about Levi's in the Levi's thread.

if you're going for a baggier look, then thatll work, but if not sizing up 4 on STFs will turn into sizing up 5 or 6 in a couple weeks because of the stretch

Excuse me if this has been asked/answered already...

But, I just picked up a pair of LVC 1947 501xx (selvedge). It's been raining here almost every day for 2 weeks straight. How will these be in the rain?

Yes, I know raw denim will have some bleeding. But, these were pre-owned and I believe soaked, but have no wear/fades. Will these be bleeding / rubbing off all over the place or what?

Thanks in advance.

if you wear them in the rain and they get wet, they'll probably bleed on light colored things. They wont bleed more than any other jeans

Fk then I'll have to get a 42 cuz im a 38 in waist sad

I saw the khaki 501 stfs and those are crazy dope

Sizing up 4 is going to be really loose on the waist, I size up 2 and its already too big.

I bought the same khaki joints. I sized up by just 1 and the shrunk perfectly. Not skinny but a nice fitted look.

@shawnhosea you bought the Khaki 501's I am guessing?
I still need to grab myself some khaki 501's maybe I will do the same by sizing up one but I honestly haven't seen jeans selling for size 35, usually I only see even numbers.

A 34 might work for you, honestly I think if I went to true to size on my pair if would fit perfect.

Im thinking it might have not been ur 501 size, cuz for 514s and 501s for me i wear a 28 waist, but when i measure myself im actually a 30, best way to fix this problem is just try on a pair of washed 501s and c wat size gives you the fit you want and size up from there

Yea, The STF's. For some reason the STF's have every number except 38 from what i saw. You should be able to find a size 35. Try Macy's. The prices are like $35
