There's alot of talk comparing these two cars, so as a public opinion poll what do you guys think? Scion tC or Civic Si? There's a price difference, so there's the whole stock versus tuned argument as well. Thoughts? Opinions? Concerns? Fears?

both are nice cars, depends really what you wanna do with it, one of my boys has a scion all hooked up, wide body kit and everything, and that car gets mad attention, really just depends what your looking to do.

Civic Si, but if it's for your car, doesn't really matter what we think

i didnt vote b/c i like both. but, since everyone's saying SI ill defend the TC.

just for driving, its a great car, probably cheaper w/ insurance. good for daily city driving b/c it has good low end torque. also equiped with a good pioneer stock sound system w/ aux hookup for your ipod[not sure if SI has it.]

performance wise if you are gonna do all kinds of ISH to it go w/ the SI.

Both cars are great. And it all depends on what youd like to do. Daily drive, weekend track car or good car in general. It also depends on your budget because the Si can be a bit more pricey.

There are alot of responses about how the Si has more power blah blah blah
but that doesn't make you a better driver. A car is only as fast the drivers ability so dont get discouraged about purchasing a TC. I've driven both cars and I think it'll be up to your own decision in the end.

The best advice I can give you is to test drive both and see what you like/ dislike about either one. From there you can make a move.

The engine in the Si has some serious turbo lag. Power doesn't kick in until you rev it to about 5k. I was hoping they would improve it when they put out the new one but apparently they haven't.

The tC is a bit underpowered for the weight of the car and is a bit front heavy. For a car that size they should really have put the 1.8 inline 4 from the old Celica into the tC instead of the lumpy 2.4.

For power and practicality I'd choose the Si. It's more expensive but you are getting more in return.

im a honda boy @ heart, but the damn shifter in the si is a tad too far for my small filipino arms.
if they switched the shifter and the e brake, that would solve my problem.
i like the scion, but it doesnt appeal to me as a small sports car for some odd reason.
so id go neither
