'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Has Been Delayed
Until winter is coming?
With only two seasons left, Game of Thrones‘ sixth season finally wrapped up with a revealing finale that brings us a few steps closer to the true heir of the Iron Throne. However fans will have to wait even longer for the HBO show’s upcoming seventh season, straying from the show’s traditional April launch to coincide with the winter season. “We don’t have an air date yet, but this year will probably be a little bit later,” announced the show’s creators David Benioff and Dan Weis, “We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, ‘Winter is here’ – and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”
GoT‘s seventh season will be comprised of seven episodes as opposed to the standard 10.
