Moncler Gamme Bleu showed its 2016 fall/winter collection this weekend in Milan, a range rendered entirely in camouflage print. Largely informed by a palette of gray, blue, white and red, other textile patterns such as pinstriped and checkered fabrics are used as a base layer. Furthering the eclectic range of styles, head designer Thom Browne plays with a diverse array of textures that includes everything from leather to sequins to fur. The pieces are altogether an interesting integration of refinement and edge, with each look covered entirely from head to toe in camo. To round off the outfits, each model was garbed with a woven ski mask, gloves, socks and dress shoes, all covered in the show’s military-inspired theme.
