Following its release in 2012, the formerly titled Nike Roshe Run developed an increasingly noticeable presence in the world of streetwear for its minimalist design, comfort and desirable price point. Having served as an essential piece to many entry-level “sneakerheads,” the shoe itself never caused too many overnight lines outside the local stockist despite inevitably selling through. In light of such success, Nike has officially amended the shoe’s name to be the Nike “Roshe One.” Although unconfirmed, the introduction of a numbering system suggests a possible design sequel based on the way in which Nike has previously labelled its products.
