As the holiday season is in full swing, the joy and festivities are also complemented by harsh weather. As a result of battling mother nature and providing a sense of nostalgia, KITH has joined forces with Columbia Sportswear in order to deliver the upcoming Bugaboo Collection. The Bugaboo Jacket dates back to 1986 and exudes the term multi-functional. It was originally made to be a performance ski jacket, but it was also given positive praise in New York during the late ’80s and early ’90s as one of the most popular pieces of outerwear during that time period. The Bugaboo Jacket rests within Columbia’s 3-in-1 interchangeable system that can be worn throughout various seasons. Its interior consist of a fleece jacket that zips into a waterproof shell and also provides a source of essential layering. Additionally, small co-branding can be seen throughout along with a two-way zipper system. The Bugaboo Jacket will be available in three different colorway choices of the original 1986 Blue and Pink, a brand new Slate and Salmon combination and finally a Black and 3M KITH inspired colorway. Along with the jackets, the Bugaboo hat and gloves will also be available in the same color schemes. The KITH x Columbia Sportswear ‘Bugaboo’ Collection will release on December 12 at both KITH Manhattan and Brooklyn locations alongside KithNYC.com. Prices will range from $250-$300 USD for the Bugaboo Jacket, while the hat will retail for $75 USD and gloves for $165 USD.
