Ronnie Fieg x New Balance "City Never Sleeps" Black Friday Release
Ronnie Fieg’s ode to New York City.

Ronnie Fieg and New Balance is back with another collaboration straight from the upcoming “City Never Sleeps” collection, as teased upon in mid-November. Taking on New Balance’s USA 998 model for the first time, the theme surrounds Ronnie’s upbringing in New York City and the character development one possesses while being surrounded by the “concrete jungle.” The “City Never Sleeps” USA 998 will feature tri-blocking with the rear, forefoot, and saddle all hosting different color tones and materials. Additionally, blue nubuck transitions to navy on the shoe’s saddle that’s complemented by black pigskin suede. You can also expect the model’s New Balance logos to be reflective, which plays a part in New York City’s bright lights. When Fieg was asked about the concept behind the idea of the project he stated:
“Its that even in the middle of the night, New York is still bright as day because of its city’s bright lights. This constant cycle of endless days is a major factor for the New Yorker’s mentality. People hustle harder here than anywhere else, but our reward is being able to live in arguably the greatest city in the world.”
The Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 998 also comes with three additional lace options and will host leather lining, a debossed tongue, and custom-printed insoles. A release is set on November 27 at 6 a.m. EST at both KITH locations and 11 a.m. EST on KITH’s website for $240 USD.
