The Designers Rumoured to Be Replacing Alexander Wang at Balenciaga
Three worthy candidates emerge.
With it now widely acknowledged that designer Alexander Wang will not be extending his tenure at Balenciaga, The New York Times has collated a trio of designers that it believes are most likely next in line to helm the European fashion house. Julien Dossena, who is currently heading Paco Rabanne and worked previously at Balenciaga under Nicolas Ghesquière is mentioned, along with fellow Ghesquière protégée Bouchra Jarrar. The wildcard entry of the three frontrunners, according to the Times is Chitose Abe, formerly of Comme des Garçons and currently creative director at Sacai.
