The sportswear giant adds its stamp of approval to the lo-fi aesthetic.
The lo-fi aesthetic so loved by the world of streetwear shows no signs of abating with this experimental ad for the adidas Originals Superstar. Enlisting the talents of Brazilian graphic designer David Galasse and motion graphics artist Antonio Vicentini, the video was created for a new global campaign for the iconic sneakers and uses no shortage of garish elements from the glitch art movement. As Galasse explains in the video description, “The video discusses how technology and creativity have freed us, but how social media has distorted the very idea of fame, giving it a more superficial layer.” Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
