Swedish duo JJ have liberated another track from their forthcoming full-length LP, V. From the beginning lines of “I know I’m drunk, I know it’s late, but I will call you anyway, call you because I f*cking shake,” JJ vocalist Elin Kastlander appears on the verge of a breakdown on “Dean & Me.” For the next three minutes, JJ continues to tread the line between sanity and santarium, her croon at sometimes appearing to be seconds from cracking. The track’s mournful, melancholic production further supplements Kastlander’s emotional vocal performance, supplying  her with a sonic setting that feels in line with her lyrics. So far everything JJ have released in anticipation of the release of their third album has been quality material, so by the time V‘s August 19 release date rolls by there should be plenty of acclaim in the surrounding days. You can listen to “Dean & Me” above.
