Since 1987, it has been a tradition for Hermès to attribute each seasonal collection to a specific theme that inspires its artistic direction. The first official theme – titled “The Year of Fireworks” – was introduced by the late Jean-Louis Dumas to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the fashion house. Now, Jean-Louis’s son and current artistic director of Hermès – Pierre-Alexis Dumas – gives this storytelling concept a contemporary spin with a slight element of humor. For its 2014 spring/summer range, the longstanding brand celebrates metamorphosis with a whimsical short film titled, “Man on the Move.” Directed by Romain Laurent and shot in Paris, dancer Jérémie Bélingard magically jumps in and out of clothing from Hermès’ current collection.
