[UPDATED] Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red Release Date Announced

The much-anticipated red colorway of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 has finally received a release date of June 18. Based on the teaser above, it would seem that in addition to dropping on the same day as his upcoming album Yeezus, the shoe will be released in a brief run of just 1,000 pairs. Although photos and details are scant, we do know that the latest Air Yeezy 2 will feature a red suede and nylon upper and a unique red glow-in-the-dark sole. EDITOR’S NOTE: We previously reported that Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red will be releasing on June 18. Nike has confirmed this release date as inaccurate and it’s been planned to release later in 2013.
