When, in 2001, founders Jochen Smuda and Martin Fussenegger conceived of Ucon, they had a vision for a a lifestyle brand anchored by creativity, quality tailoring, innovative appliqués and ethical production. Over a decade later, the Berlin-based label continues to focus on the cornerstones of bespoke fabrics, tailored cuts and subtle detailing – qualities apparent once again in its collection for Spring/Summer 2013. New for the season are both men’s and women’s garments in basic, wearable silhouettes and vibrant hues. Button-downs, henleys, lightweight spring jackets, chinos and shorts feature in khaki, crimson, blue and green, along with tasteful patterns and details that offer a combination of classic sensibilities and contemporary aesthetics. Ucon’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is available now for purchase online.
