PUMA by MIHARAYASUHIRO 2013 Spring/Summer Lookbook
Little things fascinate MIHARAYASUHIRO in big ways — bicycle spokes, rucksack frames, camouflage
Little things fascinate MIHARAYASUHIRO in big ways — bicycle spokes, rucksack frames, camouflage — the minute details and inspirations that form the backbone of his unique design language. PUMA by MIHARAYASUHIRO‘s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is no exception. This season, the designer takes a two-wheeled tour through the realm of the Otaku — the “Tour de Nerd,” if you will — that celebrates both cycling and those known for their obsessive, geeky hobbies. Designs are constructed for the nerd within the peloton of daily commuters, while materials are technical — high density and lightweight, transparent yet waterproof. Footwear is reinvented with fully reflective, one-piece molded constructions, with the UnCAMO graphic print on both shoes and garments exposing rather than hiding. Elsewhere, rucksacks come equipped with stools, providing a thoroughly functional, yet unconventional, spin on the staple that has become MIHARA’s signature.
