Advancing its presence into China’s sprawling Hong Kong metropolis, UNDERCOVER opens its doors to its newest retail location – a space that previously housed the bygone THINK SILLY collective. Situated in Hong Kong’s Chai Wan district, this brick and mortar will not only stock UNDERCOVER’s eponymous line, but also a slew of other complementing brands from around the world. As mentioned in last week’s preview, not only will this location include a fascinating light installation comprised of 20,000 light bulbs, but it’ll also display Joachim Patinir’s 16th century painting titled Landscape with Charon Crossing the Styx. This Renaissance era piece was chosen because it parallels UNDERCOVER’s confliction between heaven and hell, or good and evil.
