The skateboarding community might remember Nyjah Huston‘s part in 2005’s Elementality: Vol. 1 as a baby photo of sorts. It was the first time we were introduced to a then-10 year-old skateboarding phenom, tic-tacking to rails taller than himself in an innocent, yet promising way. Huston’s grown exponentially since then, having carved out a new, dread-less role as skateboarding’s golden child and, ultimately, its biggest one-upper. After a year-long drumroll that arguably began with his “Last Call” part, Nyjah Huston has produced yet another part for the history books with “Fade to Black.” Released through Thrasher Magazine just ahead of the “Skater of the Year” announcements, Huston casually slings a couple of NBD’s down iconic rail and stair spots, meanwhile throwing in some tricky two-wheeled combos to create a generally undeniable offering. This is serious business, folks. Enjoy the above.
