Honored for its streamlined design, recycling efforts and of course, vast collection of quality goods, lifestyle brand MUJI has built an international following of loyal patrons — all without a traditional in-your-face marketing strategy. In its typical, slow but considered expansion, the Ryohin Keikaku Co. Ltd.-owned retailer announced Tuesday it will open its first West Coast location in San Francisco at 540 9th St. this November. With four stores already in the United States, this shop will be its largest at 7,250 square feet offering more than 2,000 items, including 1,700 household and 300 apparel pieces.
