A seminal staple of the footwear industry, Converse is set to release their latest edition of Chuck Taylors. Coming together in the form of the First String Converse Chuck Taylor All Star “Made in Maine” Boot, the release marks another step in the evolution of the respected brand. Working alongside New England’s Highland Boot Company of Brewer, Maine for the collaboration, the “Made in Maine” boot utilizes oiled chamois Horween leather from Chicago on the exterior with contrasting stitch lines. Additionally, the upper is positioned on a heavy duty Vibram Jumbo Ripple outsole and built with leather board construction which allows for owners to re-sole the boot after some wear and tear. Set to release on November 30 at select Converse boutiques in New York and Boston, the Converse First String Chuck Taylor will retail for $350.
