One of the stronger ongoing collaborations as of late, Missoni and Converse strengthen ties this Fall/Winter 2012 for their sixth season working together with the unveiling of their “Archive Project.” Underneath the coveted Converse First String umbrella, the limited edition collaboration collection features a series of 20 footwear iterations that are made up from deadstock Missoni fabrics and textiles. The models of choice for the collection see the iconic Converse Auckland Racer and Pro Leather being used for the one-of-a-kind mockups.

The Missoni x Converse “Archive Project” is slated to release on Friday, September 28 through colette in Paris. In addition to the release, the duo tapped London-based artist Gary Card to curate a psychedelic installation at colette that accurately reflects the all-over print motifs of the sneakers. Additionally, an accompanying hand-numbered, hardback book will be released in conjunction with the shoes in limited quantities. The book is crafted from the same terracotta canvas that lines each pair of shoes from the collection. Retail is slated at €400 EUR (approximately $517 USD) with the size run ranging from a US 5 and going up to US 12.
