A strong relationship has been developed between SENSE and mastermind JAPAN over the years, with the magazine becoming the publication of choice for mmJ lead designer Masaaki Honma to preview his latest work to the public. For this, the penultimate collection from the brand, SENSE has once more stepped up and produced another classic photoshoot that provides an intensive look at a large array of pieces from this season. Leather and fur have once again been used to create some of the collection’s standout pieces, whether it be separately or combined to great effect. Primarily black in its palette choice, a spattering of color here and there along with various animal prints, check and camo designs help lighten the mood. The mmJ Skull, which will be forever synonymous with the label, has been used extensively and unashamedly throughout the collection. The mastermind JAPAN 2012 fall/winter “new order” collection will be available at select boutiques worldwide this weekend.
