Nike Sportswear Tailwind

Following the limited launch and installation at Firmament Berlin, the original Nike Tailwind officially sees its worldwide release. The first shoe to sport Nike’s patented Air-sole unit, as conceived by aerospace technology specialist Frank Rudy, the Tailwind debuted at the Honolulu Marathon in 1978 before seeing a broad release the following year. Returning in its OG form with a breathable mesh and suede upper, the pair boasts a nylon tongue, retro branding and waffle sole. The Nike Tailwind 79 is now available at select Nike Sportswear stockists worldwide.
