With a premium suede upper and Nike Free-inspired sole to complement the foot’s natural motion, the Air Ralston Mid Lite carries a modern deconstructed look suited for Nike Sportswear’s Fall 2011 footwear collection. Timeless classics such as the desert boot and wallabee have stood the test of time due to their comfort, versatility and simplified aesthetic. With a Nike Air unit in the heel and vintage appeal of the premium raw suede upper, the Air Ralston Mid Lite showcases NSW’s commitment to modernizing classic footwear appeal with a twist. Launching in August 2011 are three colorways, including black/anthracite, classic olive/new olive and khaki/sandalwood. The shoe will be available globally in limited quantities.

    Are you saying these are copying Clae’s Strayhorns? These are just Nike sportswear’s take on a desert boot the same way Clae’s Strayhorn is their take on the desert boot.

    I’m pretty sure no single company owns creative rights to the desert boot (chukka).
