J.Crew 2011 Spring Presentation

J.Crew recently held a special presentation of the brand’s upcoming collection for Spring 2011. We were on hand to witness the assortment of new product that will grace store shelves come the new year. Amongst the highlights for J.Crew’s upcoming campaign was a steady dose of slim cut blazers, plenty of knits, outerwear, and footwear collaborations. Colors were keep muted for the most part, focusing on a nice array of blues paired with grey and khaki tones. Take a look below.

    J Crew hasnt been doing this all along. Their men’s wear was more outdoors (which it still is) but I mean more L.L. Bean-ish. Now its more “heritage” classic mens wear with an outdoor/utility look and the cuts are more modern (slim) Soooo on one hand yes they are doing the same thing they have alway been doing but the approach is different. I believe its this approach that makes J Crew look like they are doing what everyone else is doing and in a way they are.

    J Crew is the shit i’m loving their collabs and their sense of American style. J. Crew Made TIMEX cool again. And the 1400 New Balance collab really took me back.

    Yea and apparently this moron thinks that Visvim and Engineered Garments have been around longer than J. Crew. J. crew has been doing their thing for a long time and, will stay doing it, before these copycat designers who sell limited stock because it makes them more exclusive.     Yeah. It’s true. This is a style that a lot of brands are trying to pull off. Only difference is that J. Crew does it right. All the way down to the details. From the outside, it may all look the same but the truth is, J.Crew fits perfectly and is made better than most.

    jcrew always kills it with the toggle design. Price is right compared to other companies who do the toggle (e.g. john varvatos, apc, ralph lauren etc..)
